OBITUARY

                                                                                                    In Loving Memory of Wenying Li
 

Wenying Li was born on 28 May 1960 in Xinyi, Guizhou Province, China, and passed away peacefully on 24 December 2025. Late of Blakehurst. Wenying lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She was a loving and devoted wife to Shoude Xie, a cherished mother to Jane Jian Xie, and a proud and gentle grandmother to Joseph, who brought her immeasurable joy. Wenying was also a much-loved sister and aunty, whose care and presence were a constant source of comfort and guidance to those around her.

In 1992, Wenying made the courageous journey to Australia, embracing a new life with determination and grace. She carried with her the values that would define her character, kindness, consideration for others, loyalty, and a steadfast heart. Tenacious in spirit, she faced life’s challenges with resilience and dignity, never losing her sense of purpose or compassion.

Wenying was a woman of many talents and passions. She found balance and discipline in martial arts, peace and fulfilment in gardening, and creative expression through photography and videography. Her keen eye for detail and love of storytelling were reflected in her professional life as a newspaper and magazine editor, where her dedication to truth, clarity, and thoughtful expression shone through.

 

Above all, Wenying will be remembered for the warmth of her heart, the strength of her character, and the quiet love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the memories she leaves behind.

 

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
