It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished sister, aunty, and friend, Marie Annette (Ila) Lamond.

Marie was a woman of remarkable warmth and generosity, whose caring heart touched the lives of all who knew her. She possessed a rare gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and valued. Her kindness was sincere, her laughter infectious, and her presence comforting—a quiet strength wrapped in compassion.

Marie lived her life with grace and an open heart, always ready to offer support, encouragement, or a listening ear. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be fondly remembered for her gentle spirit, her humour, and the love she so freely gave.

Though she is no longer with us, Marie’s legacy lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be forever held in our hearts and remembered with love, gratitude, and enduring affection.

May she rest in peace.
