OBITUARY

​It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jamie, a beloved husband, father, and friend. Jamie was the devoted husband of Bianca Dowsett and the proud father of Noah, Max, Marcus, and Perrin. His family was the centre of his world, and he found his greatest joy in the simple moments spent together-whether around a campfire, on a bush walk, or sharing laughter over board games and video games.

Jamie’s love for adventure was matched only by his creativity. In his spare time, he was diligently studying to become a fantasy writer and was in the midst of crafting his own book-a testament to his vivid imagination and dedication to his dreams. His two little dogs, Nala and Opie, were his constant companions, always by his side through life’s ups and downs.

A man of deep faith, Jamie lived every day guided by his beliefs and his unwavering commitment to the word of God. He was known for his resourcefulness, often able to “MacGyver” his way out of any problem, and for his infectious sense of humour that brought light and laughter to those around him. Jamie was a goofball at heart, never missing an opportunity to share a smile or a laugh.

He cherished the quiet rituals of life-early morning coffees and chats, evening cups of tea, and late-night video games with those he loved most. Music filled his home, and whenever asked about his favourite food, he would always answer with a smile: “Bianca’s cooking.”

​

Jamie’s legacy is one of love, faith, and laughter. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that he was happiest when surrounded by those he loved, living each day with kindness, faith, and joy.
